Inbound Journeys

In 2022, the Friendship Force club from Central North Carolina (Winston-Salem area) will be visiting our club May 15 - May 21.  The host coordinator for the journey is Rella Hadley.   To see a list of the planned activities, check out the April newsletter and contact Rella Hadley to make reservations to join any of the activities.

We are were hopeful that the Open Word visitors from Ukraine who were scheduled to be with us in 2020 will be able to come to Cincinnati in March 4-12 of 2022.  However, the program had to be cancelled again.   Mimi Gingold and Al Gerhardstein are program coordinators.

We are also looking into hosting students in the State Department's ALEX program in September or October of 2022. In this program we would host 10-12 young people, aged 17-19, for one week. The students would be fluent in English and be from either the Soviet Union or a Muslim country. Mimi Gingold and Katie Campbell are coordinators for this visit.
During a visit with our club we often lead our guests on a tour of downtown Cincinnati, visit the Underground Railroad Freedom Center, the Cincinnati Art Museum, The Cincinnati Museum Center, Amish Country, the Krohn Conservatory, or other sites in our area.  We normally begin the week with a Welcome pot luck brunch or dinner and then gather again for an all club dinner or luncheon on the last day of the visit.
